The Historical Commission is working to preserve and display the historic and architectural treasures of the property. They are also developing links with the neighboring Fisher Plantation and Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park.
The current grant will help fund foundation repairs, restoration of doors and windows, as well as accessibilty and security work that will allow assembly occupancy and greater use of the site. Previous Trust grants have helped fund an archaeological investigation and landscape preservation plan for this three-acre site acquired by the borough in 1999.
