Owned by the Borough of Sussex, the Crescent Theatre is rented to Tri-State Actors Theatre, Inc, as their home, and is used for their legitimate venue of professional theatre and similar performing arts programming. The property is a contributing resource within the boundaries of the Sussex Borough Central Business Historic District.

The grant will help fund the preparation of New Jersey and /National Register of Historic Places nominations and a preservation plan that will identify building material fabric with an assessment of existing conditions and prioritized recommendations to guide the rehabilitation.

The grant will help fund the shoring up of the roof, rerouting of roof drainage away from the heel of one failed truss, and repair of the lower chord of the failed truss.
