Building 23 is a World War II-era barrack associated with Millville Army Air Field. The cluster of World War II-era buildings at the airport is eligible for listing in the New Jersey Register and National Register of Historic Places. This district is significant as the first “defense airport” and for its associations with the development of air travel. The airfield was used during the war for advanced fighter training. A number of buildings at the air field presently house the Millville Army Air Field Museum.

The Cultural Trust grant will help fund the replacement of a deteriorated roof.
