Constructed in 1927 as a vaudeville theater in the Classical Revival style, the Ritz operated as a movie house until a performing arts group rented the facility in 1986. This landmark theater retains its original ticket booth and marquee as well as Neoclassical-style murals in the auditorium. Now a popular adult and children’s theater venue, the theater company purchased the building in 2003 and entertains 70,000 patrons annually.

The Trust grant will fund the replacement of the flat roof on the main building and over the marquee. The work will correct water leaks that have damaged interior finishes and work areas.
