Historic buildings on the church campus consist of the 1812 church building with an 1835 steeple, an 1871 Italianate style educational building, an 1885 Queen Anne style residence, and a cemetery that dates to 1790. The Federal style church with Greek Revival steeple follows the classical Wren-Gibbs tradition of church construction.

The church and the education building both have significant structural problems. The church suffers from extensive termite damage and joist movement. A roof truss is cracked and truss ends may be deteriorated from water infiltration. The west wall of the education building tower is in a state of progressive collapse due to structural problems.

The grant will help fund the preparation of a preservation plan for the three historic buildings, the preparation of construction documents for the stabilization of the church and educational building, and an interpretive brochure.
