The Hightstown United Methodist Church (1898) is architecturally significant for its embodiment of the distinctive characteristics of the Gothic Revival style.

The matching grant will help fund stabilizing the structure as well as some masonry concerns, and returning the building to its documented historic appearance. Paint and mortar analysis, archaeological testing, and a nomination for historic designation are also proposed.
