At the Kennedy-Martin-Stelle Farmstead, the farmhouse, wagon house and English barn are significant as early examples of English and modified Dutch framing. The site is also significant for 18th century associations with Rev. Samuel Kennedy, a distinguished local minister and educator, and his successor Colonel Ephraim Martin, a Revolutionary War leader and major proponent for the passage of the Bill of Rights in the NJ Legislature.

The matching funds will help make the wagon house, English barn, and farmhouse structurally sound and watertight.  The overall Farmstead will become a cultural and recreational center for the township. The second floor of the farmhouse will be used for offices.
