The focal point of Lawrenceville School is its “Circle,” a remarkable collection of late nineteenth century buildings designed by noted architects Peabody and Stearns that surrounds an expansive circular green conceived by Frederick Law Olmsted, the designer of New York’s Central Park. The Situated within the Lawrenceville Historic District, the Lawrenceville School contributes a stately quality to the overall character of the area.

The Trust grant funded exterior restoration of one of the most prominent buildings on the Circle, the Edith Memorial Chapel. In recognition of its prominence in the history of architecture and education, Lawrenceville School has been designated a National Historic Landmark.
