Morristown is an area rich with historic and cultural resources associated with important events and people of the American Revolution, industrial innovation and the development of Morristown as a center of transportation, culture and commerce. While heritage and cultural sites are promoted by the Morris County Tourism Bureau, helping visitors locate the sites is the purpose of the way finding signage.  The current system is poorly designed and posted. 

The grant will help fund the preparation of a wayfinding signage program for the city, and may serve as a model project for other municipalities and counties.  The program will make recommendations on the design, placement and content of signs to help residents and visitors to locate the area’s sites of interest.
