The matching grant will help fund a preservation plan for this c. 1871 brick house of worship, home to the oldest African Methodist Episcopal church in the state. The plan will make recommendations for repair, restoration and increased accessibility of the church and help guide future decisions regarding the building's increased use for community and outreach programs for youth and families.
