The Parker Homestead consists of a farmhouse, several barns, outbuildings and acres of farmland that was donated to the borough with the requirement that it be used for history education purposes.  Owned by the same family for three centuries, the property is a significant historical, cultural and recreational resource for the community.  The farmhouse has sections that date to 1720, early and late 18th century, early and late 19th century, 1910s and 1920s. The complex reflects the evolution of agricultural life in Monmouth County.

The Trust grant will help fund the preparation of a management plan that will explore new feasible uses for the property.  The work will be informed by a previously prepared conditions assessment and cultural landscape assessment.
