The Perkins Memorial is a 1910 Tudor-style residence that was designed by noted Philadelphia architect, Herbert C. Wise as a wedding gift for Alice and Dudley Perkins.  At one time, the Perkins family had an orchard on the property, in addition to outbuildings.  The estate was bequeathed to the township in 1965, and the house and carriage house now hsot a non-profit multidisciplinary arts center, featuring classes and activities in the visual arts, dance and music for children and adults. The 5.5 acre property includes an arboretum that is open to the public.

The current grant will help fund signage and site interpretation for the arboretum and the development of walking tours of the historic district.  A previous Trust grant helped fund design documents to address barrier-free access.
