The Seabrook Wilson House is one of the earliest surviving buildings in the Raritan Bayshore area. The oldest section of the house probably dates to the early 18th century and ties to the early settlement and maritime history of the area. The house and waterfront setting is a valued landmark to the surrounding community.
Guided by the historic structures report addendum generated in 1998, the proposed work includes the restoration of the exterior building fabric to its 1890 appearance and rehabilitation of the interior building fabric to comply with code requirements for public safety. The project will also include construction of an accessible public restroom and an environmental analysis.
