The matching grant will help fund the exterior restoration and repair of this 1888 Victorian era firehouse, which is now a museum. Proposed work includes the reconstruction of the decorative doors and balcony on the street elevation that were removed in 1916. Preservation of the firehouse is supported by Somerset County, the local community, and the borough's fire fighters, who help maintain this historic site.
