The brick church retains a high degree of integrity. The four-acre property also contains a rectory that possibly dates to the first quarter of the eighteenth century, but was substantially altered in 1873 as well as a Gothic Revival sexton’s house dating from 1874 and a cemetery, which has been used since 1715. A non-contributing parish house and a cloister addition are also on the site. In general the church is in fair to good condition with the exception of the roof trusses and floor framing, which require stabilization.
The grant will help fund the preparation of a preservation plan, the preparation of construction documents for exterior restoration, and a structural analysis and schematic design for roof stabilization.
