The Bellevue Avenue Branch Library was designed in 1916 by Nelson and Van Wagenen Architects of New York City, and probably funded by Andrew Carnegie. The library retains a high degree of architectural integrity and its original use, serving the local community as a branch library.

The Trust grant will help fund the preparation of a master plan for library, including recommendations for its preservation and improved accessibility. The project also includes an initial archaeological survey and a fund-raising plan to finance the recommendations of the plan.
