Founded in 1857 by J.J. White, Whitesbog Village was the foremost cranberry and blueberry plantation in New Jersey. Funds were used to rehabilitate the barrel storage house and the barrel factory. Four worker's cottages were also restored. The storage house and factory are being used as an interim visitor's center and a special events pavilion.
