Corporate Business Tax (CBT) Historic Preservation Fund

In November 2014, New Jersey voters approved a change to the state constitution to provide a stable source of funding for open space and historic preservation by dedicating funds from the Corporate Business Tax. 

The amount of available funding each year will be determined upon the resolution of that year's budget.

 

 

2016 Fiscal Year Grant Round - Program Description

Applications for the fiscal year 2016 grant funds were due in June 2015.  Grant awards will be announced when the amount of available funding is determined.

The 2016 FY grant round was the first grant round under the new CBT Historic Preservation Fund, which was created when New Jersey voters approved a change to the state constitution to provide a stable source of funding for open space, farmland and historic preservation by dedicating funds from Corporate Business tax revenue. Since 1990, the Historic Trust has awarded $137 million in historic preservation planning and capital grants through the Garden State Historic Preservation Trust Fund (2000-2012) and Historic Preservation Bond Program (1990-1997).
